General Entry
Animal sightings cannot be guaranteed.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Carers receive free entry with a paying guest (valid proof required).
For safety reasons, alcohol, drugs, weapons, drones, scooters, balls, and similar items are not permitted.
Africa Alive reserves the right to refuse entry or request visitors to leave if behaviour poses a risk to animals, staff, or guests.
All visitors must follow our Visitor Code of Conduct.
Tickets & Booking
Online tickets are non-refundable and valid only for the selected date.
Booking changes incur a £5 administration fee.
Early booking discounts apply until 11:59pm the day before your visit and cannot be combined with other offers.
Booking confirmation and reference number will be emailed after purchase.
Flexible Guarantee
For £3 per ticket, you may change your visit date once, free of charge.
Changes must be requested at least 12 hours before your visit and used within 6 months.
The Flexible Guarantee does not cover cancellations or refunds and is non-transferable.
Rainy Day Guarantee
If it rains continuously for one hour during opening hours, a free return ticket (valid for 4 weeks) will be issued.
Applies to standard day tickets only and excludes school bookings.
Gift Aid
Ticket prices include an optional donation. Opting out does not affect entry.
Gift Aid allows us to claim an extra 25p per £1 donated at no extra cost to you.
Gift Cards & Experiences
Gift cards have no expiry date, are non-refundable, and cannot be used online.
Animal experiences are valid for 12 months, must be pre-booked, and are non-refundable.
Membership
Membership is valid for 12 months from the purchase date and is non-transferable.
A valid membership card must be shown for entry.
Benefits cannot be combined with other offers and may be amended at any time.
Accessibility & Assistance
Accessibility information, assistance dog guidance, and support services are available on request.
Only registered assistance animals are permitted (advance notice required).
Photography & Media
Personal photography is permitted. Commercial use requires prior approval.
The zoo may take photographs for promotional use.
Liability & Lost Property
The zoo is not responsible for lost or stolen items or injuries caused by failure to follow rules.

Please provide as much detail as possible, including dates, times, and any relevant information.
We aim to acknowledge complaints within 3 working days and provide a full response within 20 working days. If you are unhappy with the outcome, you may request a review by a senior manager.
All complaints are handled sensitively and recorded in line with our policies.
