works
We’ve made visiting Africa Alive more accessible with reduced-price tickets available online for just £7 per person.
Simply book your tickets in advance, bring proof of eligibility on the day, and enjoy a full day exploring the zoo and experiencing wildlife up close.
Please read the information below to ensure you’re fully prepared for a day at the zoo.
Your Visit
Tickets are available for up to six people per household. Make sure to book online, and don’t forget to bring proof of receipt of one of the benefits listed below.

You’ll need to book your reduced-price ticket online in advance, as only full-price tickets are available at the gate.

Proof of
Eligibility
You’ll be asked to supply proof of eligibility and a named ID.
This can be a recent letter or statement showing your benefit, a screenshot from your Universal Credit app, or a bank statement showing the payment along with photo ID.
Reduced price tickets are available online for families receiving Universal Credit, Employment and Support Allowance, Personal Independence Payment, Housing Benefit, Child Tax Credit, Pension Credit, Jobseeker’s Allowance, Working Tax Credit, or Disability Living Allowance.

Confirmation
You will also need to show your booking confirmation – your confirmation email has your booking reference on it and can be shown on your phone so don’t worry if you don’t have a printer!

We believe that everyone should have the chance to visit their local zoo. This special offer is designed for those on benefit schemes, making it easier to experience the wonders of wildlife even during challenging times.
Alongside our Universal Credit ticket scheme, we run a variety of offers open to all throughout the year, ensuring wildlife experiences are accessible to everyone.

Who is eligible?
Reduced price tickets are available online for families receiving Universal Credit, Employment and Support Allowance, Personal Independence Payment, Housing Benefit, Child Tax Credit, Jobseeker’s Allowance, Working Tax Credit, Pension Credit, or Disability Living Allowance.
What do I need to bring to show proof of eligibility?
Please bring photo ID and one of the following: A recent letter or statement showing your benefit, a screenshot from your Universal Credit app, or a bank statement showing the payment.
Can I combine this offer with a free carer ticket?
We are pleased to offer free entry to carers. This can be combined with Universal Credit tickets. Please note that carers must be accompanying a paying guest to qualify. You will be asked to show a Blue Badge, DLA, or PIP upon entry.
Why are tickets only available online?
We limit ticket sales online to manage visitor numbers and ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience. Other charities that have used similar systems have found that online ordering is preferred by customers for convenience and flexibility.
